CC Two win 2 Silver Screen awards and a Certificate of Creative Excellence at the International Film and Video Festival 2009. The two silver screens from the US International festival add to an already impressive tally of awards so far in 2009 including 6 mercury awards and a bronze medal at the New York festival for the drama Jenny’s story. The prestigious festival which was founded in 1967 recognises outstanding achievements in Television, Documentary, Educational, Entertainment, Industrial and Informative productions. The work was among 1,100 entries from 22 countries and judged by an international panel of industry experts.
The Opener ‘Fit for the Future’ was awarded a Silver Screen Award.
The idea was to create a parallel between the human body and the role that individuals and divisions of the company play in contributing to the performance of the whole organization. Featuring Toby Jameson, a world class triathlete, live action and extensive CGI work enabled us to literally get under the skin of the runner to show the muscle groups, joints, cardio vascular system and brain working together to produce co-ordinated forward motion.
Stars in Our Eyes Memento video claimed its second award of the year with the Silver Screen. The objective was to produce a comprehensive ‘keepsake’ record of the 2008 incentive and motivational event for the 1000 staff who gained a place. Using footage from three ‘documentary’ camera crews as well as numerous fixed and jib mounted cameras providing live relay to screens at the various venues etc. more than sixty hours of footage was edited to produce a 30 minute DVD.
The Certificate of Creative Excellence was awarded for ‘The Game’, an opener that was quite literally designed to ‘kick off’ the event with impact, energy and humour. This involved corporate banking staff (from across the UK) engaging in an unusual and entertaining game of ‘football’.
‘The latest Silver Screen Awards add to an already impressive tally of
medals so far this year for a diverse range of projects which just endorses the
fact that the team at CC Two are producing consistently good work that we can all be proud of.’
